The History of eba:
About Us

eba was created as a new brand of high-end home furnishings, specialising in designer kitchens and furniture. The flagship eba Haussmann showroom in the heart of Paris stands as an emblem of the brand’s philosophy and style, representing the principles guiding its projects through different ambiences. Thus, open, cohesive and consistent spaces with a minimalist and timeless look – without sacrificing functionality – are showcased at 63 boulevard Haussmann.

70 years of experience and innovation

The pillars of eba are based on its DNA, which can be traced back to the origins of its founding brand: Santos, expert kitchen manufacturer. eba has been created to apply this know-how beyond the kitchen, offering a broader approach to home furnishings.

The history of Santos is closely tied to innovation and quality. It dates back to Spain in the 1960s, when José Santos – son, grandson and great-grandson of joiners – decided to breathe new life into the family business through an innovative new trend from the United States: the modular kitchen. At the time, the trends in home layouts were undergoing major changes. Family became the focus of life at home, just like the kitchen, which was transformed and subtly opened out to the other rooms in the house. Thus, it gradually became the hub for interaction.

José Santos decided to kit out these new rooms by using the best materials: wood, in honour of his background in carpentry, together with marble, steel and glass. The use of fine, high-quality materials has become the brand’s hallmark, along with the vision of creating exceptional spaces, designed to meet and anticipate the specific needs of each client. They were modular creations that were always tailored to the unique requirements of each project, with an emphasis on functionality, design and simplicity. This was all done through great attention to detail and a rigorous work.

Thus, the small family business quickly became the benchmark for high-end kitchens in Spain. Nowadays, the transition between spaces is smoother, and the brand also applies its experience to the Living furniture, consequently kitting out other spaces in the home such as the lounge or dining room. With more than 250 retail outlets and a renown that transcends the borders of the Iberian Peninsula, in 2019, the Santos designer founded a new brand in the heart of the French capital: eba, with the aim of distributing its kitchens – as well as pieces of furniture from carefully chosen European brands – in France.

An exceptional showroom for an exceptional setting

With a display window that’s 13 metres long and a display area measuring 120 m2 devoted to timeless design and high-end home furniture, eba leaves nothing to chance for the opening of its first showroom in France, choosing Paris as its starting point.

eba’s flagship store at 63 boulevard Haussmann proudly showcases the brand’s quality at the junction of the Palais Garnier, Église de la Madeleine and Gare Saint-Lazare. The eba Haussmann showroom displays personalised high-end design solutions in an incomparable setting: the light of a private Parisian apartment that reflects the universe of a discerning clientele passionate about design and simplicity.

The showroom boasts two floors, which are structured as different ambiances intended to be visited leisurely, in order to discover each and every one of their many details. Visitors can also explore the wide variety of options that can be used for each project, as well as other pieces of furniture. When it comes to designing each project, eba works with the biggest names in the sector. ‘Our experience enables us to kit out every room in the house, in collaboration with internationally renowned brands’, David Santos, the head of the company, says. ‘When it comes to kitchens, we work with Santos, with Levantina for worktops, and with Miele and Gaggenau for appliances. We have our own tables and we chose Profim and Gazzda for chairs. In the case of lamps, we work with Brokis’.
