This L-shaped kitchen, found on the ground floor of a three-storey townhouse in the heart of Paris 13th arrondissement, belongs to one of our clients. He had called us to help with his project of completely renovating the house in order to make it into his dream home. We were able to assist with the project by providing him with an L-shaped kitchen design and fitting.
An unusual kitchen
Our client decided to put the L-shaped kitchen somewhere slightly unusual: the 11m² space right by the front door. He did this to help create a home that felt inviting from the get-go, and one that felt connected across floors.
An optimised lay-out
To aid flow and ensure that the kitchen didn’t block the natural way of moving through the house, the eba Haussmann team chose to install an L-shaped kitchen. On one side there’s a prep space with a fridge, an oven, a hob and a discrete built-in extraction fan, and on the other, a space for washing up and prep, with base units built around the window.
This L-shaped kitchen design contains nothing superfluous; we focused on the essentials to create a functional room which made the most of wall space, from the floor to the ceiling. We did this by adding plinth drawers to the base units, which added an extra level of storage space.
A bright, contemporary space
Sticking with the owner's bright, contemporary designs, we chose a kitchen from the FINE range at Santos, with handle-less fronts finished in the colour Silk Pearl White and a 2cm thick countertop in the Calcatta Boheme stone from Naturamia. The result: a light, inviting, minimalist room.
