Every September the much-awaited Paris Design Week provides an exceptional setting for interior design lovers to gather and connect. This year, we chose to centre our events around the themes of art and painting. Besides our showroom on Boulevard Haussmann, we had a pop-up exhibition designed to be just like a Haussmann apartment, where art, functionality and beauty came together seamlessly.
Private viewing at eba’s Paris Design Week 2023 event
For the Paris Design Week 2023 launch, we had the pleasure of hosting interior design professionals in our Haussmann showroom, with a buffet provided by Tableaux Paris. We showed our guests our different exhibitions, our latest interior design innovations, our brand partners and our pop-up apartment, which was created especially for the occasion.
Art and painting were the central themes of our pop-ups, and we'd set up a collaborative canvas in our showroom where our guests had the opportunity to paint something if they wished. The canvas evolved as the week went on, with different people dropping into the showroom and making contributions.

We wanted a second exhibition space alongside our Haussmann showroom, where we could show off the infinite interior design possibilities offered at eba. Located in a Haussmann building near the Opéra Garnier, our pop-up apartment was a truly immersive experience, and a declaration of our love for minimalism and interior design.
In this modern reinterpretation of the Parisian apartment, visitors could see a wider selection of furniture from our Living range, including our systems for office interiors and a preview of our table collection. The detailed set-up showcased the pure, timeless, elegance of Parisian apartments whilst guaranteeing impeccable functionality – a fundamental for all our projects.
The kitchen, the heart of the home
We consider the kitchen to be the heart of the home, so this had to be reflected in the design of our Paris Design Week pop-up apartment. As such, the kitchen is located in the centre of the space, creating a fluid connection between the other rooms. Superior materials such as Rustic Oak veneer and lacquered unit fronts in Pearl White with a silk matte texture were carefully chosen to create a space that was both welcoming and refined.
Natural stone worktops and top-of-the-range electronic appliances add a chic touch to the room, whilst original blown glass lights from Brokis’ Shadow collection illuminate the space.
At the back of the kitchen, we fit a laundry space and a pantry. Use of Rustic Oak and matte Silk Black unit fronts give an unexpected level of sophistication to these areas, whilst retractable doors preserve the beauty of these functional spaces.
A contemporary living space
The apartment’s living room was designed around the original chimney and pre-existing golden mirror. The fireplace was framed with a Silk Matte Black lacquer panel, which ingeniously adds extra storage to the room. Colours and textures have been subtly played with throughout, from the Pearl White marble suspended TV unit to the low Portobello marble coffee table.
The visit ends with the discovery of an unexpected office space, thought of as an artist's studio. The exclusive furniture, including the eba office table, creates an inspiring but practical environment. A modular wall panel, in Pearl White lacquer, adds an additional layer of storage, demonstrating our capacity to get the most out of every centimetre of space.
We loved meeting guests during Paris Design Week 2023, and showing off our pop-up apartment. It was eba’s ode to art, tradition and innovation, through a symbiosis of classical building elements and our contemporary furnishings.
