2021 marked a milestone in the history of Santos. After 60 years of experience in kitchen furnishings, the Spanish brand expanded its product catalogue. This new furniture line is a response to the growing trend of creating open-plan daytime living areas. With the new Living furniture range, Santos responds to these demands by proposing more harmonious and interconnected rooms.
Cohesive and attractive spaces
With this new line, the philosophy of the Spanish brand spreads to the rest of the home. The Living range adapts to all daytime living spaces in the home, using a modular system that makes it possible to create lounge and dining room furniture, glass door units, libraries or even panels with shelves, which can be mixed and matched with kitchen cabinets.
One of the strengths of the Living line lies in the fact that it uses the same finishes as the kitchen cabinets, so you can maintain the same style, design and colours across the different spaces, bringing flow and harmony.
In the same way, thanks to its experience in kitchen cabinets, Santos offers sleek, slim elements, which respond to the minimalist trend of refined aesthetics. Thus, the Living units are available with fronts that are only 13 mm thick.
A wide selection of units
The Santos Living line has a wide selection of fully modular units.
Base units
Floor standing, with legs or wall-mounted, the base units can be adapted to several heights in order to fulfil different functions: sideboard, glass door unit or even combined with a wall panel and wall units.
The opening systems are also quite varied: push-to-open, side opening, glass door unit system with the possibility to include LED lighting, sliding opening, plinth drawer…
Wall units
The wall units, which were already part of the kitchen line, are now available for daytime living areas such as the living room. Available in several depths, they can be combined with base units to create wall compositions that adapt to the dimensions of any wall.
Tall units
Tall units are another type of unit included in the Living range. They come in three heights and can be kitted out with glass doors, solid doors, open shelves or a combination of the three.
As with the base units, tall units can be wall-mounted to create a floating effect.
Panel system
As a complement to these modules, Santos has created a panel system that allows to cover all or part of a wall to create a decorative backdrop.
What’s more, 35 mm or 13 mm thick shelves can be integrated into the wall. Furthermore, a LED lighting system can be included at the bottom of the shelves..
Modular bookcase system
Like the rest of the line, the bookcases are comprised of a modular system that combines open and closed tall units, bringing together aesthetics and functionality.
Modular cabinets: the DNA of the Santos brand
Santos has developed its Living range to be modular and flexible, just like its kitchen furniture. To this end, it’s possible to create compositions with a large variety of modules, dimensions, finishes, lighting profiles and many other options that enable them to adapt to any type of room.
This new Living range is available in a wide range of finishes, including laminate, melamine, natural veneered wood and also lacquers.
Laminate finishes
Among the laminates, Santos offers an array of eight colours that range from white to black, including several shades of grey. They’re available in a selection of the most commonly used colours and there’s also an anti-fingerprint finish.
Aside from these plain colours, Santos also has laminate finishes with wood motifs and faux stone (Ceppo di Gré, White Marble and Grey Marble).
Natural veneered wood finishes
Santos also presents the range of Living furniture in natural veneered wood finishes: Rustic Oak, American Walnut, Smoked Oak and Olive Ash.
Lacquered finishes
The range of finishes for the Living line is rounded off by lacquers, with a satin or matt finish, available in 22 standard colours. Additionally, it’s also possible to have the fronts in any colour of the RAL or NCS colour chart.
