Santos’ catalogue for 2022 includes additions to both their kitchen furniture and Living range. Keeping consumer behaviour in mind, the Spanish brand has developed a new collection that responds to the needs of their clients whilst offering plenty of possibility for personalisation.
There’s lots of exciting developments in this new collection, including a wider range of choices for finish colours, an extended countertop selection, new options for their Living range, and new opening systems and base units for the kitchen.
Finishes get colourful
Kitchens have become much more colourful in recent years, and Santos has rightfully acknowledged consumer desire by launching more colour options for finishes in their 2022 catalogue. Available for both fronts and unit interiors, they permit yet more ways to personalise their kitchens. Among the newness you’ll also find neutral colours like Nacre White or Mist Grey, as well as more original tones like Sage Green, India Red, Cosmos Blue and Dark Brown.
For imitation wood and natural stone finishes, it's Light Elm, Natural Oak, Grey Terrazzo, White Marble and Emperor Marble who are making their entrance in the Santos kitchen range. These finishes are available laminated with an ultra-realistic texture, as easy on the eye as they are to touch.
Practical interiors
One of Santos' strengths lies in their systems of organisation inside their kitchen units. The brand is going one step further by offering a new drawer accessory: the kitchen roll holder. It's available in American Walnut or Olive Ash, and has three sections: one without a blade for baking paper, and two with blades for kitchen foil and clingfilm.
Santos is also innovating its tall units in this new collection, with the creation of a model specifically designed to house integrated wine cooler units.
Custom-made compact laminated countertops
A new range of laminated countertops has entered the scene at Santos. Made in laminated compact, a material very similar to stoneware or quartz but warmer to the touch, these countertops are available in numerous finishes and at a thickness of only 1.2 cm.
Laminated compact proves itself to be especially practical for everyday use, notably for its resistance to impact, including on corners and edges, but also for its easy maintenance.
Systems designed specifically for laundry
In the 2022 catalogue, the brand has revealed two new options for the configuration of laundry cupboards. The first brings washing and drying machines together in a single space. The second has a complete worktop equipped with shelves, a countertop, a unit for laundry and a unit for the washing machine. There’s also the possibility of adding retractable doors which fold into the sides of the unit, facilitating access to different areas.
Aesthetic, practical opening systems
Staying true to themselves by keeping aesthetics and function at the heart of their designs, Santos have thought up a new opening system for those who want minimalism without push systems. They’ve included linear handles in this new collection, to be used vertically on tall units and upper drawers or width-ways on base units. The lacquered aluminium handle is available in multiple colours so that it can perfectly match fronts and create a seamless finish.
Base units made with extraction systems in mind
Integrated fume extraction systems are all the rage. Particularly discreet with a compact design, they can effectively replace bulky extractor hoods. As these are more and more in demand – especially in open kitchens – Santos has developed base units for under the hob which are specifically designed to fit these types of extractors.
These new pieces of furniture permit the installation of a hob with an integrated extraction system with or without an air outlet pipe, as well as retractable extractor hoods.
More options in the Living range
At the beginning of 2021, Santos launched their Living range, which is a line of furniture designed for all types of living spaces. In their 2022 catalogue, Santos has even more practical and multipurpose furniture for use all over the house.
The brand has developed their collection of sideboards, shelves and glass door units, with the goal of creating office or workshop-type work spaces.
